Alejandro Acierto - Clarinet
Alejandro T. Acierto is an artist and musician working in timebased media. He has exhibited his work at the Film Society of the Lincoln Center, Issue Project Room, Participant, and SOMArts Center as well as at Salisbury University. Ammie Brod - Viola
Violist and southwest native Ammie Brod holds a B.M. from the University of Arizona with HongMei Xiao and an M.M. from Northwestern University with Roland Vamos, as well as studying for two years with acclaimed performer and pedagogue Emanuel Vardi. As a member of Dal Niente, Ammie has worked with composers such as Chaya Czernowin, Mark Andre, Kaija Saariaho, Hans Thomalla, Marcos Balter, and Augusta Reed Thomas. She also attended the Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, helping to earn Dal Niente a Kranischteiner Stipiendieum Prize and a Kranichstein Musikpreis, the latter being the highest honor for performers in the Courses. In addition to her work with Dal Niente, Ammie has recently made appearances with Quince Vocal Ensemble, the Omaha Under the Radar festival, and Project Incubator at the University of Chicago, which emphasizes direct collaboration between composers and performers during the compositional process. When not performing, Ammie works as a professional floral designer and enjoys making homemade gourmet ice cream.
Amanda DeBoer Bartlett - Voice
Amanda DeBoer Bartlett is an experimental singer and presenter based in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a member of Ensemble Dal Niente, Quince Contemporary Vocal Ensemble, and Hasco Duo, and is the director of an experimental performance festival called Omaha Under the Radar. As a contemporary classical music specialist, Ms. DeBoer has premiered works by inspiring musical innovators including Holly Herndon, Marcos Balter, Christopher Cerrone, Robert Honstein, Morgan Krauss, Ravi Kittappa, Fredrick Gifford, Aaron Einbond, Chris Fisher-Lochhead, Ryan Carter, Jonn Sokol, and many others. Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Ms. DeBoer moved to Chicago to study at DePaul University where she received a Bachelor of Music. She received a Masters degree from the University at Buffalo, where she studied with acclaimed contemporary interpreter Tony Arnold, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Bowling Green State University.
Austin Wulliman - Violin
Violinist J. Austin Wulliman has been featured as soloist and chamber musician on many concert series, including recent performances at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, Harris Theater, the University Musical Society in Ann Arbor, the Darmstadt Ferienkurse, New York's Merkin Hall, Live on WFMT, and on NPR’s Performance Today. Austin is a member of Spektral Quartet, which is Ensemble-in-Residence at the University of Chicago, where he teaches violin and chamber music as well as playing in the faculty new music ensemble.
