performed Jason Eckardt's After Serra conducted by Michael McBride and performed by Constance
Schoepflin (flute), Alejandro Acierto (clarinet), Austin Wulliman (violin), Isabel
Castellvi (cello) and Sergiy Komirenko (piano) on Friday, January 12, 2007, 8PM
in the DePaul Concert Hall at DePaul University.
This program also featured works by Berio, Feldman, Crumb and Cage.

@ SONIC IMPACT FESTIVAL
ensemble dal niente's performance at the Sonic Impact Festival included After
Serra by Jason Eckardt with Michael McBride (conductor), Constance Schoepflin (flute), Alejandro Acierto (clarinet),
Austin Wulliman (violin), Isabel Castellvi (cello) and Sergiy Komirenko (piano) performing. Ensemble members Ari Streisfeld (violin,
Salvatorre Sciarrino's Caprices), Masahito Sugihara (saxophone, Christiane Lauba's HARD) and Shanna
Gutierrez (flute, Kaija Saariaho's Laconisme de l'aile) all performed solos at the Sonic Impact Festival,
held the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
FROM FELDMAN'S LAST YEARS
ensemble dal niente performed Morton Feldman's rarely-performed 90-minute Piano and String Quartet (1985) as part of the 2006 Chicago Sound Field Festival's
"Feldman Would Have Been 80 This Year Birthday Celebration." Performers included Drew Baker (piano), Ari Streisfeld (violin), Anne Donaldson (violin), Paul Roberts (viola) and Whitney Allen (cello).
DAL NIENTE @ NEW MUSIC MARATHON
Northwestern University's 2006 New Music Marathon presented 7 hours of new music featuring geust composer Alvin Lucier on May 21, 2006. Grammy-nominated guest soprano, Tony Arnold, joined ensemble dal niente to perform Jason Eckardt's Tongues for soprano
and chamber ensemble conducted by Nicholas DeMaison and and performed by Anita Chandavarker (flute), Alejandro Acierto (clarinet),
Justin Ranney (viola), Jesse Langen (guitar) and Peter Martin (percussion). Masahito Sugihara (mas) (saxophone), Peter
Martin (percussion), Drew Baker (piano), Jonathon Kirk (trombone) and Joann Cho (piano) performed works by Lucier at the marathon.
Other highlights included performances by pianist Amy Dissanayke from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's MusicNOW series
performed a solo concert featuring works by Augusta Read Thomas and Asa Nisi Masa by
composer Drew Baker and cellist Katinka Kleijn from MusicNOW and the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) performed Music for Cello and One
or More Amplified Vases by Alvin Lucier on May 21, 2006.
