HEARING VOICES
Grammy-nominated soprano Tony Arnold joined ensemble dal niente conducted by Nicholas DeMaison to perform Salvatorre Sciarrino's Infinito Nero and soprano Linden Christ joins ensemble dal niente conducted
by Francesco Milioto to premiere OPENING by Kirsten Broberg. The musicians included
Constance Schoepflin (flute), Alejandro Acierto (clarinet), Andy Nogal (oboe), Austin Wulliman (violin), Ammie Brod (viola),
Isabel Castellvi (cello), Peter Martin (percussion), Sergiy Komirenko (piano), and Janelle Jansen (harp).
Sopranos Majel Connery and Emily Lyday joined ensemble dal niente conducted by Michael McBride to premire Nicholas DeMaison's new chamber opera Ursularia. The musicians will include Anita Chandavarkar (flute), Alejandro Acierto
(clarinet), Jonathon Kirk (trombone), Peter Martin (percussion), Ammie Brod (viola), Isabel Castellvi (cello), Rob Clearfield
(accordian) and Nicholas DeMaison (electronics) on the Opera Cabal Multimedia and Chamber
Opera Festival.

topped off the program with the Chicago premiere of Ethers for solo flute and chamber ensemble conducted by Michael
McBride and performed by Anita Chandavarkar (flute), Anne Donaldson (violin), Ammie Brod (viola), Ashley Garritson (cello),
Doug Johnson (bass), Jonathon Kirk (trombone) and Peter Martin (percussion). This concert is generously supported by Ossia Fine Arts Space, a new alternative space for new music and art in the historic Fine
Arts Building on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
